Our Team

A team participating in the 50 kilometre run to raise money for Emily’s Garden. The funds raised go towards the Green Schools Initiative which raises Eco-friendly awareness to promote a conservative culture within local schools in Oman. Ian Jewitt, David Graham, Helen Graham, Mulham Al Jarf, Salma Al Hashmi and Mark Geilenkirchen form the team who ran to raise money for Emily’s Garden.

Following the Race

We followed the team by car, stopping at the checkpoints to cheer them on and lift the spirits. My brother Harvey was dancing with Mark at one of the checkpoints. Everyone in the team managed to finish the 50km trail of the Al Hajar mountains although none of them could walk the next day!

The Raffle

The event managed to raise a lot of money for the charity through the charity raffle draw which consisted of a Garmin watch, 2020 Oman by UTMB entry, whale shark snorkelling and Daymaniyat Island snorkelling. Between the Emily’s Garden team, corporate donations and the charity raffle draw €6,723 was raised for the charity.
