The Walk - The Amal Fund

One of the projects Emily’s Garden has supported is The Walk – a travelling festival of art and hope in support of refugees. The journey of Little Amal a 3.5 metre-tall puppet of a young refugee girl, created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company. Representing all displaced children, many separated from their families, Little Amal has visited over 18 countries since 2021. In November 2021 she visited the Hague. Emily’s Garden Foundation organised for the children’s choir of The British School to sing to her with the message that everyone can be themselves, in freedom and together.

We have continued to support The Walk by donating to the Amal fund which helps to provide education, food, shelter, emergency medical care, legal assistance and much more for children like Little Amal.
